We’ve been to two bridal expos over the past few weekends, one at the Raritan Inn and one hosted by the Windlass Restaurant.
Most brides attending these expos are brand new and just learning about the wedding planning process. In case you’re a new bride and weren’t able to meet us at the expo (or m\aybe you did meet us and can’t remember), here’s a little peak at what we shared!
Cafe Pierrot is typically known for our beautiful custom wedding cakes and desserts. Each bride received an example of our macaron favors in boxes wrapped with ribbon. These are a really elegant option for favors that also happen to be gluten free!

We demonstrated our custom cake skills by displaying two fake wedding cakes with all the custom details available. Our buttercream custom cakes begin at $5/person, and the fondant covered custom cakes begin at $8/slice.
We also gave cake samples to the brides and arranged cake tastings. The brides told us that very few bakeries provide cake tastings, but we think this experience is so important. The bride should be happy, not only with the design on the cake, but with how it tastes. When you schedule a cake tasting with Cafe Pierrot, you will try our common flavor combinations and be able to choose one of those or create a custom combo.
Another new favorite dessert option is our mousse shooter. We can make these in any flavor mousse your request, but we highly recommend the chocolate mousse! In the past, we’ve made strawberry mousse shooters for Valentine’s Day and mint mousse shooters for Saint Patrick’s Day.
But we’re not limited to desserts. Pierrot Catering also provides full-service wedding catering. If you choose a full-service catering option, we will partner with you to plan the perfect reception! Because of our experience in the industry, we already own the equipment that many caterers charge extra to rent.
For this bridal expo, we made a Korean BBQ that was served in a lettuce leaf with make your own toppings! This was so different from the other caterers, and the brides really seemed to enjoy the experience

These Thai Shrimp Spring Rolls were also a popular and different menu item. We love working with our brides to create a unique and delicious menu.
Because Cafe Pierrot stands for gourmet, quality ingredients, we extend that to our service. When a reception includes our catering and desserts, the experience will be professional and delicious.
If you feel that full-service catering is not in your budget, we can give several options that do not include any planning. The DIY wedding is a drop-off options, where we deliver our delicious food to the event, and you arrange for all the decorations, tables, servers, etc.
We’ve also catered several summer barbecue weddings (one example on the blog here). We bring our own grills, and full-service option includes our planner overseeing all the rentals and deliveries.
However, these two services are separate. You can choose to only order catering from CP or a wedding cake. You can just order cookie favors or macaron favors. We’re very flexible and want you to have the perfect day.
