Easter Preparations

Easter is right around the corner (2.5 weeks!), and I know you’re thinking about the food and party decor.

Last year, we shared our Easter Dessert table with a few free printable signs. Go get those free signs! Here’s what you need for everything else!

Easter Dinner

Check out the Catering & Desserts page on our website for full pricing and lists of items.

This year, we’re offering two complete dinner catering options:

Leg of Lamb:

stuffed leg of lamb for easter dinner from french restaurant and bakery in NJ

Leg of lamb, deboned, marinated with rosemary and garlic, tied and roasted served with a lamb rosemary au jus

choice of 2  vegetables:  herb roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, garden vegetables, or string beans

includes: one dozen dinner rolls (plain or snowflake), and a Lemon Rosette cake.

Chicken Cordon Bleu

breaded chicken breast stuffed with Swiss cheese & ham topped with a creamy cheese sauce

choice of 2 vegetables: herb roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, garden vegetables, or string beans

includes: one dozen dinner rolls (plain or snowflake), and a Lemon Rosette cake.

This meal is a favorite for a reason!

Easter Desserts

We added two new items from last year: a Bunny Face Cupcake Cake and a Bunny Face on a stick cookie! The cupcake cake is perfect for the kids at the table, and the bunny face cookie is a great gift as guests are leaving!

We love the decorated Easter Egg cookies for dessert, too.

Setting the Table

Spring and Easter equal bunnies and pastels. We love the trend of eggs in a vase or basket with tulips and other favorite flowers for a centerpiece…

  1. Colored Eggs in a Jar
  2. Cafe Pierrot’s table last year
  3. White Eggs in a basket

White dishes with linen napkins always look natural and beautiful, and you probably already have them at home! Tie with a ribbon for a touch of color at low cost.

Wood slices and mason jars are reusable for many other holidays, but look spring-y enough for Easter!

Easter Egg Decorating

Cafe Pierrot may not sell decorated Easter Eggs (other than the cookies), but these egg decorating tutorials from pinterest will look great with our desserts!

  1. Naturally dyed eggs by Whole Foods
  2. DIY Dyed Robin Eggs by Honestly Yum
  3. Gold Leaf Easter Eggs by She Knows
  4. Emoji Eggs by Studio DIY (ok, these don’t match anything on the page, but they’re too fun not to share!)

Hope you enjoyed this little round-up of Easter decorating ideas! Stop by either store to pick up some of the yummy desserts!!

Easter Desserts + Free Printables

3 14 easter (19)

Signs of Spring! The colors and flowers of this season were especially inspiring as we created this Easter dessert table. We love the opportunity to display our beautiful cookies and cupcakes for this time of year.

Of course, tulips are necessary for an Easter table display. We’ve paired our flowers with brown and white eggs in a pink wire basket. By using natural colored eggs, instead of dyed “Easter eggs,” we kept the theme grown-up and pretty.

We found our basket at Home Goods, similar here.

No Easter table is complete without jellybeans!! By displaying them in clear jars, we’re able to add to the color of the display. We also filled the base with grass, so we didn’t need to use quite so many jellybeans.

Since we have cases of jellybeans here at Café Pierrot, we used large half-gallon mason jars. You’ll probably want to use smaller jars or more filler if you do not have access to so many beans 🙂

Three of each cookie fills out the display tray perfectly, while giving room for each design to shine.

This Lemon Chiffon cake is beautiful, and I can’t imagine a better centerpiece for the table. To give it some height on the table, we used a wood crate from Michaels and a white cake stand.

And of course, we wouldn’t leave without some printable signs for your display! We’re using the same binder clip technique mentioned in the St. Patrick’s Day post. Instead of gold clips, we used white and pink to match the theme.

St. Patrick’s Day Party + Free Printables!

3 7 st patricks day (4).jpg

The traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner is a favorite for our St. Patrick’s Day dinner. But with all of our dessert options, we thought we’d share some beautiful table ideas to add a professional touch to your gathering.

Decorating for your party

  1. Green & Gold: For a classy party, incorporate lots of gold and dark green to bring an elevated look to your table display. We love these gold mason jars  for small and simple flower arrangements, and we found the gold table runner at Home Goods.
  2. Super Simple Sign Holders: we used green, gold, and white large binder clips to hold up our signs. Simply clip the sign into the binder clip and squeeze the tabs to remove. We will definitely use this method over and over again!
  3. Fun Backdrop: We used green streamers and this Studio DIY template to make this shamrock cut-out backdrop. We also LOVE these giant streamers from Studio DIY, so you should try those out!

Now for the food! Below is a list of exactly what is pictured.
For a full list of Café Pierrot’s St. Patrick’s Day offerings, visit this page!

  1. Corned Beef & Cabbage: Café Pierrot sells this complete meal for 8-10 people, so you don’t have to worry about cooking a huge meal on a busy weeknight! We are also serving the meal in the Sparta location during the week of St. Patricks Day, and you can pickup a serving as a Dinner- To-Go from our Andover location.
  2. Irish Soda Bread: This delicious bread is similar to a scone, so it can even be eaten for breakfast on the holiday. Of course, we think it goes perfectly with the Corned Beef dinner.
  3. Cupcakes: 6 of each
    • Mint Ganache
    • Sprinkle
  4.  Mint Chocolate Macarons: 2 dozen (you can never have too many!)
  5. Mini Mint Mousse Cups: 1 dozen

Kings Cakes

Kings Cake

The Kings Cake celebrates the traditions of Mardi Gras and New Orleans food culture and cuisine. Its colors of purple, green and gold, and the hidden figurine (obligating whoever finds it to perpetuate the festivities for another night), are all part of the tradition.

Like anything else in Louisiana cooking, preparing a Kings Cake is often left up to the Chef’s interpretation of flavors and techniques to achieve something that is ultimately satisfying and memorable. Ours starts with an enriched dough, meaning it includes ingredients like sugar and butter. Then we add 16 ounces of nutty, sugary, buttery deliciousness, creating a cinnamon bun style cake which we decorate with icing in the traditional colors of royalty.

Our Kings cake is a delicious way to boost morale in an office setting with one bite- enjoy!

These cakes will be available in our stores through Fat Tuesday.
